Summer Solstice Greetings 🌻
June 21, 2026
The summer solstice marks the longest day of the year, the moment the sun reaches its highest point and lingers there before the slow turn back toward shorter days begins. It is the height of light and the official start of summer, with the growing season just beginning to come into its own.
This is a time of year I genuinely enjoy working in. Right now I have mint, rosemary, sage, and lavender ready for harvest, plants that are just hitting their stride as the warmer months get underway. There is something nice about working with herbs at this particular point, full of fresh growth and ready to be gathered for infusing.
There is something worth sitting with beyond the practical side of it too. So much of the year is spent preparing, waiting, and tending. The solstice is a reminder that abundance is not just something to chase. It is something to notice when it arrives and to actually receive.
This is a good time to ask what is in full bloom in your own life right now. What have you been quietly tending that deserves to be acknowledged.
Wherever you are this solstice season, I hope you find a moment to step into the sun, breathe it in, and let yourself feel the fullness of where you are.
